The G.M.R.T. Correlator system requires 32MHz and 32.25MHz clock signals of high stability for the sampling of the baseband signal having a passband of 16MHz. A 5MHz reference signal is taken from a frequency standard. This is then using a TTL counter converted to 1MHz TTL level. This is converted to ECL 1MHz which branches out to the two PLL's for the synthesis of 32MHz and 32.25MHz frequencies.
The ADC system requires 32MHz clock signal to sample the 16MHz analog signal coming from the baseband system according to Nyquist rate. An ADC Clock Distribution Card is incorporated to distribute the clock signals to all the different cards of the ADC system.
